Appreciation for the pioneering roles of Dr. Ngodo in this sector has continued to pour in from many quarters. He is listed in the prestigious WHO’S WHO IN THE WORLD, WHO’S WHO IN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING, both published in the USA. He is also listed in the NEW WHO’S WHO IN NIGERIA (2nd edition) published by Nigeria International Biographical Centre.

Dr. Ngodo is also a member of American Association for the Advancement of Science, National Geographic Society and the Planetary Society all based in the USA. Vosan & Baacon Ltd, a member of the Vosan Group, is listed in the International Directory of Distributors of Clinical Laboratory Equipment published in Belgium (1st Edition, 1985).

The Vosan Group endowed a special program devoted to the improvement of Medical Research (Undergraduate and Post-Graduate). Under this program, the Group has sponsored several health related research projects in many universities.

Dr. Ngodo has continued to receive several distinguished honors and awards: The Financial Post rated Vosan & Baacon Ltd as the Diagnostic and Medical Products Distributor of the Year 1992, and in its Vol. 5 No. 10, December 20, 1993 carried the Vosan Founder and CEO/MD, Dr. Vincent O. S. Ngodo, as one of the 15 most cherished Nigerians in 1992.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (Society of Biochemistry) honored the company for outstanding contribution to the development of Biochemistry in Nigeria, 1993. The Family Magazine bestowed on the company its highest Award for Excellence for contribution to health care delivery in Nigeria. In 1994 the company received Courage in Business Award from Credit News stable. In 1997, Dr. Ngodo was presented with the prestigious Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) International Gold Medal Award for outstanding achievements in the ECOWAS Sub-Region. Yet, another Rotary Club (Nsukka, Nigeria) Award for Community Service, in 2014; much earlier was from Rotary Club of Onitsha.

Vosan was a participant at the National Health Summit Abuja, 1995, on the special invitation of the Federal Ministry of Health. In 1998, the firm launched the landmark VOSAN HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK ULTRA-FAST Kit developed by SOVO TEC of California USA. In 2002, the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria awarded the company the Clinical Laboratory Reagents Distributor of the Year.

Among prominent African leaders in Accra, Ghana, 2004, Dr. Ngodo was presented with the prestigious “Dr. Kwame Nkrumah African Leadership Award”.

Notable among such outings are the British Laboratory Week, African Health and Laboratory Exhibition, International Medical Technology Exhibition and Conference, Hospital Expo, Laboratory Exhibition and Conference, Meditrade USA and Europe, Medica Dusseldorf, Germany and others.

Dr. Ngodo was the Nigerian Representative at the International Training in BIOMEDICS AND CLINICAL DIAGNOSTICS organized by HUMAN GESELLSCHAFT FUR BIOCHEMI CA UND DIAGNOSTICA mbH, Taunusstein Germany, in 1988. There is a system (in products registration) that is still in use at NAFDAC today that was based on issues Dr. Ngodo raised during stake holders meeting with the NAFDAC Director General some years ago.

Education

Dr. Ngodo obtained a B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Biochemistry from University of Nigeria Nsukka, 1981. He pursued further studies in Medical Diagnosis in Germany. He has acquired proficiency in a wide range of professional courses in Medical Sciences and Laboratory Technology in Europe and North America.

He also holds a degree of Doctor of Business Administration, DBA, (Honorary Causa) Satton University, in recognition of his contribution to the Health sector. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Government College Afikpo, Nigeria.

Dr. Ngodo is the Author of the highly successful Handbook of Practical Guide to Understanding, Principles, Concepts & Application of Wellness, published in 2013.
